This view of several cultural specialists is shared by the promoters of the Cameroonian Council of Music (Ccm). To change the situation, this non-profit association created in 2009 decided to set up a programme of meetings focused on structuring the music industry in Cameroon. Structure the Cameroonian music industry Three major projects to structure this music industry in Cameroon emerge from the programme initiated by the Ccm. The most important of these major projects, which is presented as the final objective, is the development of a master plan for music in Cameroon. This framework document will make the diagnosis and lay the lines for the development of this art sector in the land of the late Manu Dibango. In order to achieve this, the Cameroon Music Council took over the activities of the programme in three main phases. The first two can be assimilated to the first two major projects. The first phase opened in Douala from 08 to 10 February 2024.
